jim willie...re: "probabilities"

i use simple momentum analysis, fairly accurate for short term moves...go to the g+k thread, and notice my post to unc frank at 198 (pre balmer) and earlier at the first move past 190...my opinion is if an issue is overbought, it can only continue upward momentum for so long...again an opinion...but i base my positions on it....not negating an uptrend, it is in an uptrend, but needs to go down to move further up...

good luck..ed a.

You have to look at the tech heavyweights, they are all getting bruised pretty badly today~ WCOM, HWP, INTC, IBM, QCOM, etc...

Not a good sign of leadership. Yea, I am ST bearish, just don't see a move to 200 w/o news.

Still long though!

Jim <<disagree on prob{<180} exceeds prob{>200} >>. I will have to try your cup of coffee soon ( I might have to get it quick ) and add my to my long position in QCOM. I was going to add more JDSU and NT ( company already does this for me ); however reading your posts along with Mile High & edamo, there may be some opportunities over the next few days / weeks to pick up some more shares of Q. What would drive Q back to the 170s and what would it take to get the momentum back to 199 and into 200s?
Do we have to wait for the earnings to reach the 200s?

Thanks,

David
