Ice, my i asked my mother if i should cover my shorts due to the cycle low, oversold condition, yesterday's hammer, GZ being long, etc. and she said "no way". saved me from making a mistake here...i'm so sorry i'm not short POS anymore. NOW of course it starts to tank. as to the october dip, far from everybody expects it. october has a bad rep and it is frequently mentioned, but i've seen lots of people opine in print that this time, it WON'T happen, because everybody expects it, and the FOMC will be out of the way, etc. i'm still thinking we could get a rally attempt to scare the shorts and suck in a few more buyers...note that trannies and utilities have been up today and they often lead the market by a day or so. of course that may have been short covering ot simply money fleeing into whatever has already been destroyed...the RUT was positive as well. i have a list of stocks upon which a great deal of destruction has already been visited which i aim to buy if the market slumps hard. i'll throw the list out for comment over the weekend...
