Dear Sonki

Sell IBM???? Because MER downgrades it? Have you looked at their chart for the last 5 years? so - maybe they will have a bad quarter or 2 - maybe more - but they are IBM and they are determined to be a leader in tech. Short sighted investors get in and out of stocks and usually regret it. You picked a winner - don't abandon them now. Just my opinion - but then I have a long term horizon - not a trader here.

Dear Sonki, SUNW is a long-term investment for me. I do not have any plans to sell my shares even if the stock market tanks.

I don't know what to make of IBM. When everyone got excited about earnings early this year (I think) The New York Times was critical. The reporter did not believe that the earnings were that good in the first place. I do not recall his or her comments.

I had some extra cash so I put it into IBM. But the stock has not done much for me. There are many possibilities for investments but I haven't checked prices today for shares in companies that I own. So I can't make a recommendation. I don't like to make recommendations anyway.

When does the Fed meet? It may be down hill until that meeting is over with so I'm not sure I would buy anything at this time.
