thanks for your usual well researched comments. The overall GSD margins look pretty anemic. They used to be depressed by the tendency of the hardware teams to sell services at cost as a part of system sales, but I thought they had fixed that.

Service margins at <30% make it even less likely that IBM will sell those services at a price which will allow DELL decent margins. GSD has a huge backlog - they are trying to hire 30,000 people next year to bring it down. Not exactly a buyer's market.

The more I look at the numbers, the more I question what IBM is up to here.
