Then why is AMD pricing the Athlon so high - so IBM can CONTINUE
to pay all that money to AMD ?

If IBM buys AMD they wouldn't have to pay all that money to AMD for chips now would they?

I was talking about IBMs failures when trying to compete with Intel in the chip market. ie, 486slc, IBM686, powerPC etc....not to mention the failures
of IBM vs Microsoft. re: IBM-DOS and OS2.
