To me, any correction is temporary and needs just a catalyst to occur. Balmer just said the king was wearing no clothes which we all knew so "big deal" to most. The market might have keyed on something else to correct.... Look at HP and IBM getting hammered over server concerns when their future in not that much tied to servers. Probably just people making sure they can lock in profits for the year, but who knows?

Traders are/were predicting this long ago and it might be partly a self fulfilling prophecy. I remember Bob saying the market needed a good, "health restoring correction" below DOW 10K. Well, now the market is probably so constipated that it will take a larger correction to restore health, borrowing his words. Long term, fundamentals like earnings and inflation and interest rates are what matters and that keeps me in the market for the long term - with proper profit taking in HWP at $114 on the way up 8)
