goldsnow I am afraid you are very much correct: Crash and
burn on the way; Billy and the boyz; gold shorts & the boyz.
All those boyz in fact, GG.

We have an oil tanker of an economy here that will be
almost impossible to slow on a dime, ie in time for y2k.

I bet you a Golden Eagle even gold at $400 next week will
not do it; or oil at $28/ barrel ( soon to be ) as they just announced on CNBC.

Technician on CNBC just mentioned the Head and Shoulders formation of the S&P.
We are at the neckline.Went through
it yesterday intraday. If we break, and I
think we will, we'll be down another 10% from the current 10%.

Billy and the boyz on the Hill better come up with
a quick money making formula ( other than investing in
gold, GG,
or this country is going to be
in deep doodoo.( and, I forgot, do it before y2k ,).

Higher oil.. healthcare..foreign goods...wages...let's see,....what did I leave out?

Also on Wednesday, some dealers also tied part of the bond's declines to talk that a number of
customers had trouble with their gold accounts and were forced to liquidate other positions, mainly
Treasuries. Those rumors were unconfirmed.

``The rise in gold in the last few days has put a shiver in the market,' said Marcello Frustaci, head
government bond trader at Daiwa Securities America, Inc. ``On top of that, the overall weakness
has caused some technical guys to sell,' Frustaci added, referring to traders who rely on schemes
programmed to buy or sell at certain levels, regardless of market sentiment.

``We're at a point now where the market has still not been psychologically damaged or destroyed,'
Frustaci said. ``But if we can't pick it up from here and attempt to do better for the next couple of
days, the next wave will be critical.'
