Poor people are not likely to be real happy, regardless of who's in the oval office. And, I surely wouldn't suggest RR bears any blame for kids shooting up a school. I might blame the kind of parents who are literally afraid to poke their noses in their kids' rooms and say, "What's up with this?" I would say prison is a great place for many drug offenders (certainly not all). Depends on the individual case. So, if I may ask (without sarcasm): What, based on your serious introspection and address, is the nature of our national and cultural malaise? Would you be good enough to give your list of problems that have been ignored, along with what non-moronic fixes are suggested by your vision. Right or not, I'll bet you a hundred that the presidential candidate (democrat or republican) who uses the word, "exigencies" the fewest times in public during the campaign, will win 100 percent of the time. Never overlook the power, elegance and wisdom of simplicity. MM
