BTW, relief rallys are often quite strong and mark changes in trend...developing into longer term moves. Same thing happened in 1985. Big spike up in the XAU then a retracement then it continued on to a major up trend in 1986 into September 1987. The key then was a major change in government policy carried out by the then G5. Somewhat an analogous with what happened the other day.
