Denis . . .thanks for the article. . .I agree with most of it. . .

But GIC has come a long way from the cable converter boxes they made. . .and A.T. & T. must think so. . .because they keep ordering more internet appliances from GIC. . .and GIC is putting telephony capability in as well. . . but MOT is buying GIC.

I like the question about who will buy Scientific Atlanta. . .they do make a good position on buyout. . .but I did better selling GIC at 54 than holding down to 47 where it hovers since the MOT news.

And yes, every major electronics maker will be making internet appliances. . .so the slices will certainly get thinner. . . but the pie is enormously bigger, too. . . so that thin slice later, may yield higher revs than the older tech thick slice. Again, I believe these internet appliances will be in your aunt and uncles. . .as well as both your next door neighbors. . . and it will no longer be thought of as something you do with your PC. . .

And on that day, I will do a dance. . .and retire my PCs to word processors and graphics only.
