Lenny, I think Kemble or my phone must be bugged.

We were on the phone last night talking about the best way Dell and IBM should get together if it should happen.

The article has it pretty much the way we outlined it. The only exception, I feel there could be a test period where Dell gradually takes over building PC's for IBM due to scale of operations. After a period where Dell has proven to IBM management Dell's abilities then Dell could be taken over by IBM.

Imagin what Dell style management could do for all IBM operations!

The only question about a deal like this is how IBM would value Dell shares?

Pat

>>Even if he's not promised the No. 1 job, Dell has an incentive to do a deal before the constellation of forces weighs against him. Of late his company has run into trouble servicing new corporate accounts, according to analysts. The miscues include misconfigured hardware and product delivery delays, two big no-no's when dealing with corporate America.<<
