skeeter...you fail to take into account that prices can only go so low...impact more on the likes of an already in trouble e-machine, then a gtw,dell,hwp,or ibm. all can survive anything the short term can offer, but for different reasons. not saying that dell stock price is soft...but believe bears have been calling for dell in single digits for a year.....as long as demand exists prices can stabilize or move upward, it's what makes the free market great...if no demand, then who can survive?

don't look at the pc as the sole "profitable" component of the sale...financing/leasing, accessories,extended warranties oft times compensate for lower profit on the box.
