"Interphase Announces New Vice President of Global Sales

DALLAS, Oct 1, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Interphase Corporation (NASDAQ: INPH), an international supplier of enterprise networking technologies, today announced that Brad Sowers, 37, has joined Interphase as vice president of global sales. Sowers assumes overall responsibility for the company's worldwide sales operations, including
management of the domestic and international OEM and distribution sales teams, the global strategic account management team, and the inside sales support group.

"Brad is an excellent addition to our senior leadership team," said
Greg Kalush, chief executive officer and president of Interphase.
"We're are extremely enthusiastic about Brad's proven track record of
building and managing successful OEM relationships, key strategic

Sowers' career as a senior sales executive in the communications
industry spans more than 15 years. Prior to joining Interphase, Sowers
was vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for OpenConnect
Systems, a company that provides enterprise web-enablement software and services for the Internet using Java-based technology. In that role, he was responsible for more than 140 domestic and international sales channels, as well as key OEM partnerships with Cisco, Oracle, Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems. Sowers also was vice president of sales for the Americas and Asia Pacific regions for Network Computing Devices, a manufacturer of network computers and Unix and Windows terminals. In addition, he served in a variety of sales positions with Memorex Telex Corporation, including senior vice president of operations, with responsibility for marketing and management of the company's domestic and international products and services.
