Sowers' career as a senior sales executive in the communications industry spans more than 15 years. In that role, he was responsible for more than 140 domestic and international sales channels, as well as key OEM partnerships with Cisco, Oracle, Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems. Sowers also was vice president of sales for the Americas and Asia Pacific regions for Network Computing Devices, a manufacturer of network computers and Unix and Windows terminals. In addition, he served in a variety of sales positions with Memorex Telex Corporation, including senior vice president of operations, with responsibility for marketing and management of the company's domestic and international products and services.
