Richard : Thank You. I wanted to say something about the OT stuff but held my tounge. I had to read through the spam to get to the meat of rambus. I have been long on rambus for two years and this is the first time that I am really shaken. I should of protected my profits with puts, because we all should of known that if there was a delay or a bug in the chip Rambus would of taken this major hit. I wounder if we can recover? Intel or Rambus needs to make a statement soon. EMO

Richard, you beat me by about 90 minutes. I just sat down to look at my mail and picked up that October Dell Home Systems Catalog. For those that have not seen it yet, here are some excerpts:

New Dell Dimension XPS B-Series Desktops. Featuring RDRAM for faster system performance. Your system performance won't just jump, it will catapult with the new Dell Dimension XPS B-Series desktops featuring up to NEW 512MB of PC800 RDRAM at 400MHz.... This newly developed technology delivers up to 166% increased memory performance vs. SDRAM.... Be the first in line to experience RDRAM! Order to day! [emphasis Dell's]

RDRAM systems are listed to start at $1799 with 64MB PC700, and go up to $2999 for 128MB PC800. For memory upgrades, 128MB PC800 RIMM lists for $335.

So, isn't this special. To bad I can't just call them up and order one. Wonder if they would let me back order one. Hey, maybe I'll call them and see if I can.
