Larry Ellison never ceases to amaze me.

As recently as September 22, Oracle issued press releases touting its new e-commerce iniative and the 11i product suite. On September 27, the following appeared in a CNET article:

"General availability of 11i, originally slated for November, is not expected until the first quarter of next year, most likely sometime in March. In addition, the company's next-generation customer relationship management (CRM) applications, which will work with 11i and are intended to automate businesses sales, customer service, and marketing needs, won't be generally available until around May 2000, the company said."

OUCH!

Ellison was scheduled to appear in Orlando on the 29th at Oracle's Applications Conference. He decided instead to use video conferencing to deliver his address, probably thinking that it would be easier to dodge the rotten tomatoes that way.

MSFT would still have become a gorilla, based on another's tornado...

Hmmmmmmm....

Still do not like Rambus though, as other alternatives could bypass it, and then where would they be ?

But you made me think on that one ,smile>

take care
