Overpriced POS. I'm not sure what the enthusiasm is for. Before, NSOL had a monopoly and was getting around $60 per year per registration. Now they maintain the database and get under $10 per year. Sure, it could have been worse for them, but life is still going to suck for NSOL. Asensio has it right.

Another more esoteric reason is that NSOL was a government-sanctioned monopoly with government-sanctioned huge margins. We know what happens to companies granted monopolies -- they are slow and inefficient. NSOL's management is really untested.
