OK, let's see if there are any knowledgeable industry folks here.

After recent research at DSLCon, I am fairly certain the Cisco will not be using ADI for its ADSL DMT line cards in its DSLAM's. But I have a mixed picture of who they will be using. I have heard both Alcatel and Globespan from pretty reliable sources. Alcatel seems to make the most sense given its defacto standing in the sector and time to market benefits. The obvious implication is that Cisco would be buying from a competitor. Globespan has an existing (CAP) relationship with Cisco and good reputation but the product would be 1.0. If I were the guy making the decision, I would have to be blown away by the product to not go with Alcatel.

BTW, it does not appear to be a pretty picture for Aware in attending DSLCon. ADI appears to have fallen behind and lost sockets at Cisco, AFCI, Promatory and Nokia/Diamond Lane. I also doubt the Lucent modem relationship is long term.
