Clariti Telecommunications Unveils New Digital Wireless Voicemail Service

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1999--Clariti Wireless Messaging, a subsidiary of Clariti Telecommunications International (OTC:CLRI)("Clariti"), unveiled its innovative new wireless service - Clariti Wireless Voicemail - at the PCS '99 Show in New Orleans on Sept. 22-24. This service combines a full-featured voicemail system with a small wireless device called the Clariti VOCA(TM) Wireless Voicemail Player. Users of Clariti's service get their voicemail messages in the caller's actual voice sent wirelessly to their Clariti VOCA(TM) Player.

As simple as 1,2,3

Here's how easy it is to use the Clariti VOCA(TM) Player:

1) A caller dials a number and leaves a voicemail message.

2) The Clariti VOCA(TM) Player beeps or vibrates to alert the user that a new message has arrived.

3) Simply press the PLAY button to listen to the message.

The user can adjust the volume, replay, save, or delete the message.

When asked about this new service, Mike McAndrews, president of Clariti Wireless Messaging, commented, "Clariti Wireless Voicemail brings an entirely new category of wireless communications to the marketplace. We have combined into one product the privacy and convenience of voicemail, the wireless voice communications of digital cell phones, and the hassle free portability of pagers.

In addition, Clariti's patented wireless technology, called ClariCAST(TM), enables Clariti to bring this new service to both U.S. and international markets at prices that almost anyone can afford. The power of ClariCAST(TM) is that it uses existing FM radio spectrum and transmission equipment to send voicemail messages wirelessly.

This means infrastructure expenses to deploy the system are low, operating expenses are low and a ClariCAST(TM) system covering an entire city can be set up in only a few days.

In addition, the same ClariCAST(TM) system can be deployed in practically any country since the FM band is nearly universal. The PCS Show in New Orleans was the first time we have shown our new service to the wireless telecommunications industry, and the response was overwhelmingly positive."

The following are actual comments made by wireless industry professionals who visited Clariti's booth at the PCS Show. None of these individuals are affiliated with Clariti, and each gave Clariti permission to reprint their comments.

"Clariti's product was the best that I saw at the PCS Show. The size of the device is perfect - not too big and not too small. It's very user friendly and the voice quality is outstanding. A product like this could replace numeric paging." - Lawrence Hansbro, CEO of Push Button Paging, a distributor of paging and cellular products in Georgia.

"Clariti's Wireless Voicemail would allow us to offer new and differentiated services in a very economic and efficient way. Most of our existing subscribers use text paging ... and as you know, operating a dispatch bureau to send text messages is our biggest - and most expensive - business issue. I believe that the majority of our customers would upgrade to Clariti's Wireless Voicemail, since it is much simpler to send a message. Furthermore, the product looks good, it's compact, sounds good, and the ability to store up to 20 minutes of messages is more than anyone will ever need. It will be dynamite!" - Peter Lorandos, President of Pathecomm Paging Systems, Bahamas.

"Clariti's Wireless Voicemail is an intriguing concept. I believe that my current and future customers will prefer to receive spoken messages in the sender's real voice over text or numeric messages. I am really impressed by the voice quality of the messages. Clariti's ability to leverage existing FM-SCA channels makes Wireless Voicemail available to rural resellers like us, since FM radio is everywhere. We find, on the other hand, that existing FLEX or POCSAG networks just weren't designed to support voice paging and capacity quickly becomes a concern." - Rece Howley, President of the Catseye Corporation, a wireless
reseller in Florida.

"The Clariti product demonstrated at PCS had superior voice quality when compared to other voice paging products. In addition, the product would make an excellent value-added addition to existing voicemail systems." - Michael Donnelly, President of Innovative Wireless Ventures and former sales executive for several wireless carriers.

Although Clariti is a relative newcomer to the wireless industry, its people are not. The Clariti team averages 13 years of industry experience. The VOCA(TM) Player development team consist of ex-Motorola engineers who worked on award-winning products such as StarTAC(TM), PageWriter(TM), Advisor(TM), and Bravo(TM). The ClariCAST(TM) development team consists of experts in military RF communications and FM-SCA technology. The marketing and network operations team come from both the paging and cellular industries with experience operating in U.S. and international markets.

Clariti plans to roll out its service in the U.S. and overseas during the year 2000.
