They're exhausted. The media puts up a wall around Clinton's scandals and then says the people don't care. Who cares if the people don't care, they didn't care about Watergate either until the media drove them sick with it. Heck, Dan Rather used his broadcast to rally the boobs for Clinton! A media vendetta drove Nixon - a man who carried 49 states and 59% - out of office. That same media declared that Clinton had a "mandate" with 43% and kept him in office despite his manifest crimes. Look at the way they treat Janet Reno, so long as she covers up she's doing swell. In that environment, beating up the Republicans only serves the dark side. If you want to target Reps, target those like Shays, King, Specter et al who made removal impossible.
