Skeeter, I still do think you get it! Sometimes one lowers prices to grab a larger share of the existing demand from one's competitors. This can happen even in the face of declining overall demand. The larger point being that DELL is in the enviable position of having absolutely the lowest manufacturing cost basis in the industry and are moving rapidly towards grabbing the largest share of the entire market from their competitors who are beginning to realize that selling direct is much more difficult and complicated than they ever realized.
