Gary Winnick the GBLX Chairman said in his Telecom'99 speech that you can't sell a junk bond today. He ought to know having recently raised $6-7 billion and was Michael Milken's right-hand man at Drexel Burnham Lambert back in the junk bond glory days. If McCaw needs more coin he's going to have to dilute the stock with a secondary offering or go even deeper into hock at rates much higher than his present 12.2% interest rate.
