Regarding the Palm spin-off. I am of the understanding that the original investors in an IPO are not allowed to sell their shares for at least 6 months from the date of the IPO. In the case of COMS share holders, if they possess 80% of the remaining shares, would that be classified as the initial seed money? If so then the management had no alternative but to distribute the shares 6 months from the initial IPO. If this is true, then management's decision had plenty of merit.

OK Mr knowitall... Which markets will cisco lose market share in.. which ones will Cisco gain market share in, and which ones will they maintain market share? 3Com in broadband... where does your crystal ball say about COMS in broadband? Do they grow market share, lose it, or maintain it. IS this at Cisco's expense? What competitors will "chip away at Cisco's ramparts". How? What selling propositions will they use to unseat Cisco's dominance? Mehrdad, what to you do for a living? Do you even work in this indusry? Do you have any idea what you're talking about? If so, please share with us your market by market breakdown. I should point out that Cisco (during the last 6 months) has continued to increase market share in nearly every market they are in. There is one exception and I'll let you share that with everyone.. C'mon smart man. OG
