Siemens still raising cash, HMMMMM! wonder why?
Siemens sees Nixdorf unit sale in weeks
MUNICH, Sept 30 (Reuters) - German industrial group Siemens AG on Thursday declined to name potential buyers for its Nixdorf automated teller machines (ATM) and cash registers unit but said a deal would be announced within weeks.

U.S. media reports said the German company is talking to Diebold Inc (NYSE:DBD - news) about selling it Nixdorf for about $1.5 billion but that Diebold was not that interested in taking on the cash register part of the business.

Without naming potential bidders, a Siemens spokeswoman said: ``We are talking to potential buyers and are in the last round of talks. It (a deal) may happen in the next couple of weeks.'

Siemens is undergoing a vast restructuring that involves spinning off nine units with sales totalling 17 billion marks by next March.

It announced on Tuesday that U.S. diversified manufacturing and services firm Tyco International (NYSE:TYC - news) had bought its electromechanical components division for two billion marks.

Next month Siemens will partially float its Epcos passive components unit and next year it will list its Infineon Technologies semiconductor division.

I hate to see people pull the trigger on the buy order & then ask questions later. Can a person make money doing that, sure. Momentum trading is a popular option. I personally leave that option to the institutions and professionls.

agreed...Regarding RRRR's press releases...

just prior to their name change, PR has never been shy in keeping their investors on top of current events, whether new relationships developed as a solutions provider or investments as an incubator (CMGI) wanna be, no matter the significance. This is more than I can say for more than several companies who enjoy keeping us in the dark.

whether fluff or not, it's nice to see they're in bed, or were, with quality companies as RRRR strives toward credibility.

A biased viewpoint, of course...
