Dear Alok: Hey, watch that negative talk, might be catching!! Look its almost October, so its normal to be pessimistic now BUT its almost January too. January in an ELECTION YEAR. It would be VERY unusual to have a bad market it an election year, also the year FOLLOWING the election year is usually good too. Cheer up once October is past us you'll be singing hymns of praise. Very good post Alok... We are all doing great with Sun, but one has to stay aware of the fundamentals. I've stayed with large positions of Sun and Lucent which have faired well in this market. I do hope it continues, but valuations are at historic highs, on par with the 20s and Japan's recent bubble. The question is, when this run up will end??? The technological revolution may keep things high for a while longer, only ...???... knows for sure.

Cheers,

Roger

I always think puts or shorts on stocks other than the long positions one holds may be a good idea. This idea may buffer a sudden down turn and could potentially win on both sides in a sideways market... So, what would the good sorts be to offset SUNW and LU ??? Hmmmm, the hard part... ;-)
