Art, Ron, others...

If write speed were so critical then nobody would have bought a Mavica.

Art & Thread:.

<<"If there were any differences in write performance, such differences would likely fall through the crack, given the buffer that most digital cameras have to allow multiple shots before writing to the flash card. In any case, as suggested in earlier comments on this thread, the camera user probably won't see ANY measurable difference, except possibly where the highest resolution image causes some delay">>

Art, I have to agree with you that "most" wouldn't see the time factor as a problem. I on the other hand have to use the fastest possible write times I can, because I am shooting horses for purchase over the Web. You need the clarity for the customer and the speed of the camera for the best possible shot. They don't pose very well as I'm sure you know.

Experiencing both the Lexar card and the Sandisk card is much like the difference between a '49 Hornet and a '99 Lexus,in that order. The first one will get you there , but with the second, you'll be hosting an all nite affair after a 500 mile trek.

Very frustrating.
