Japan nuclear accident now exposes 19 - NHK

TOKYO, Sept 30 (Reuters) - At least 19 people were exposed
to radiation in an accident at a Japanese uranium processing
plant on Thursday, national broadcaster NHK said.
The accident at the plant in Tokaimura in Ibaraki
Prefecture, about 140 km (90 miles) northeast of Tokyo, on
Thursday morning involved 16 kg (35 lbs) of uranium, NHK quoted
a plant worker as saying. Five of the injured were believed to
be non-workers.
