Hey relax! This is 1890, right here in Oklahoma! First, the Big Beez staked that choice piece, there yonder on the Big River. And then he got more up, and downstream too. And now he's filed for those 500,000 acres of open prairie! Heck, main streets and store fronts and horses and buggies, sure they'll come in time. And I even hear a Mr. Daimler, over in the old world, is workin' on some kinda horseless carriage or somethin? Heck, the world is a changin,' even right here in Oklahoma!

By the way, Mr. Beez, can I lend ya a quarter?

Eric,

Re: >>Unless Amazon transforms zShops into a vehicle that does allow e-tailers to build a brand, I really don't see this as being any different than an expansion of their auction effort - except the products are new and the prices are fixed<<

I agree completely. I thought this zShop front end would be more graphical with "storefronts" that might draw people into the "stores" to browse. Merchants could start to build their brands with a gif file or two. I also thought items would be grouped by the vendor with the ability to search for an item across all vendors instead of having the individual items grouped together with no idea who it is selling. Hopefully they'll tweak this thing.
