OFF TOPIC: Well, hello, JCJ, "drooling from 3 bottles of wine." Have you recovered? Did you have a nice vacation?

Yes, thanks. Sugar Magnolia (my wife) and I just got back from 4 days in Las Vegas (yyyuck), mostly being there to visit people. I lost a roll of nickels. At first I put put in three nickels, lost them, put in three more, got six back, cashed out and quit cheerfully after breaking even. It was pointed out to me that I still had the whole rest of the time to go though and I ended up losing the whole roll before I left.

Anyway, I got to see my grandmother, which was the main reason for going. I was impressed with the Resort at Summerlin and the food there, particularly the buffet there called The Upstairs Market (wow).

I would pay good money to see the inside of the security center where the monitors are in any one of those large casinos. It was like the TV show "The Prisoner" with all of those 'eyes' all over. Also, people spend more time for and more money on valet parking there than is spent on the entire public transportation budget for the SF bay area.

They had $500 slot machines there. I figure it out that it would take like a half an hour to get that many quarters into the machine before pulling the handle. I noted that one nickel though just fell right on through. I did that over and over. It was an easy way to interact with the machine and not risk any money. :)

Belagio was very nice. It had actual style (unlike just about everything else there). Anyway, it felt good to be back home.
