Jorj, cops should and must be held to the higher standard, because they are the 'State', which is so much more powerful than an individual. The lack of the higher standard is what led to the OJ Simpson verdict, e.g.

Tony is not an extension of the State. He is a private individual.

I don't condone the trash talk, but have given it a lot of thought since I respect Tony. I wouldn't say it is justified and I'm not in a position to judge until I fully understand the whole situation.

I still don't fully understand.

Jorj - in my opinion, you really need to get a life. Do you TRULY believe that a person's SI persona and their real-life personality/integrity are the same. This sounds like an extremely naive assessment. People can and do alter their on-line personas (or, personae) to reflect many differing circumstances. This is very apparent especially in places like Yahoo, Raging Bull and SI for that matter. Just because your's may not be any different in the "real" world vs. on-line, do not kid yourself that others are.
