Well, I think it calls for a very thick skin and a strong - even unrealistic - belief in yourself. ALong with the constitution of a horse. I stopped at the regional level- I'm way too vulnerable, and hadn't the drive or the ability to smash what gets in my way- another asset. Ammo hasn't a free minute. He starts at 5 am with two hours of swimming-- and between that and rehearsals and a prep SAT course, he's not home til 8:30 or 9 at night. I worry. He's also doing Model UN- and has been asked to be Sec Gen next year. (a position CW held also) that meets on weekends, when his band practices too. School? Homework? Whazzat? Too much funstuff going on. I don't think we're having to worry about academic scholarships here.
