The last bulwark the left has to breached is the total socialization of the health care industry ala Hillary-care. And I don't see how it can be avoided. We escaped it by the skin of our teeth ( and by the grace of Hillary's tin political ear ) but Republicans will eventually go along with this too.

When that happens, the country will finally and irrevocably tip over the edge and the only thing between the socialists and their goal will be a small mop up operation.

I agree with your assessment. The question is, what to do about it? The Constitution Party (formerly US Taxpayers Party) is going nowhere, The Libertarian Party should be called the Guns and Dope Party, (fun debating club, but ineffective politically), and the Reform Party is personality driven. It leaves one wondering if electoral politics is the wrong approach. Maybe the real battleground lies elsewhere.
