I would have hoped he would have been buying those a couple of weeks ago...but knowing MM he likely bought puts after this correction...

Moved a lot of the portfolio into cash a few weeks ago (in retrospect a good move), says he is still expecting the market to come down in the next few weeks, but that either way it'll be good to get back at it by the end of October.

Personally, I'm a bit less sanguine. I think going to a lot of cash was a pretty good move, and actually mimicks what I was doing with some of my holdings. However, I suspect that this year we may not have as great a year end rally as many expect. Y2K fears and the fed, among other things, could keep the broader market down for a while.
