Sprint Activates Service Nodes For ION Users

KANSAS CITY -- Sprint Corp. (FON) activated 17 service nodes, making its Sprint Integrated On-Demand Network, or ION, available to large businesses with T1 access or greater.

In a press release Thursday, Sprint said the nodes enable users to consolidate data, video and long-distance voice traffic on one ION network.

Sprint plans to unveil e-commerce application services that will use the Sprint ION platform next year.
