> Lola, with all due respect to you and other posters - I do > not like the way Dipy forces his opinions with strong And calling anybody and everybody saffron langot ... you think is an argument or a fact. When it is well established what he has to say, what's the point in having a discussion. Maybe you missed my attempt to discuss with him but I've heard the word saffron langot ad nauseum without an argument. The main issue is his generalization. While we commend scientists, .... his idea of discussion is to ask "yeah that's why there are so many power shortages". Well, the question is how are the two linked. It should have been a separate discussion about why there are power. Apparently what got his goat was when pakistan was compared to india. He just couldn't digest it. Here's an example of his idea of a discussion: #5017 DIPY - [" So, gold is still attractive even after it hits a 15-year low, and promises to go down further?! Speaks volumes about the quality of financial institutions and the efficacy of the legal system in dealing with financial scamsters in India, i.e. Bhaarat..."] Here's my reply " That's what I'm talking about. How does gold being attractive even after hitting a 15 year low speak volumes about the indian financial institutions. How does that show the efficacy of the legal system in dealing with financial scamsters ,..... ] Now, would you have a discussion with him on this. Well your welcome to. As for being critical about politicians,, etc, we all are. We all are critical about inida,... in many ways, but you can discuss when his idea of discussion only resembles the example I gave. Here's another: Dipy[ > upper-classes are definitely with them. I have spoken to > dozens of Indians here in the US, and the consensus seems > to be that even if these rabid organizations indulge in > crimes, it is all happening for the "good" of India! > Dissenting opinions are few and far between. I would put > it at less than 5 in 100. My Reply: [ Maybe you should be talking to indians in india. Their voting record shows what their opinions are. If people believed that the VHP , RSS, .. represented them, the VHP, RSS,.. would have been powerhouses. In contrast the RSS, Shiv Sena, ..., all lost heavily in Maharasthra, their strong hold. In fact it's the Shive sena that is piggy back riding the BJP and not the reverse as it had been in Maharastra.] His forte seems to be in generalization. Anybody who speaks about anything positive in his opinion is a saffron langot. No arguments,.. nothing.. He's a saffron langot. Now you can discuss that with him. He keeps questioning > Who is investing in India and how much are they Well, we've posted so many articles about various industries being set up, managers being bullish about india, investors buying stakes in india,.... . He simply cannot accept that but would rather believe his international fund manager who's knowledge of india is limited to a statement that says "India is made up of 600 kingdoms." He has being insisting that india is disintegrating... then changed his tune to India will distintegrate. How does one power shortage, or an accident (BTW all such mishaps in india are a VHP, BJP, RSS, CIA, COMMIE, KGB, .. conspiracy) prove that india is disintegrating. Anyway, you can have your discussions with. Thanks.
