Also, if you like Middle Eastern cuisine, there is a place on Calvert Street about 2 and a half blocks east of Connecticut Avenue, called Mama Ayesh's. Good food for a reasonable price...My favorite southern Italian place is Luigi's on 19th just below M. Great chicago style pizza, but also good traditional dishes, like veal piccata...My wife has been to Georgia Brown's, southern and soul, kind of fancy, On 15th, next to Mac Pherson Square, and thought it was good...My favorite deli is in Silver Spring, the Parkway, off East-West Highway on Grubb road, shortly after passing Beach drive, and before 16th St....If it is still there, there is a place called Fruits de Mer a couple of blocks up Wisconsin from M, that is a casual French seafood restaurant...
