JDN: This is the very thing that this irrational market keeps worrying about. If you have no earnings but a great "model" there is no limit too how high the stock will go. If you have no product this is even more attractive and therefore a greater threat to the likes of INTC who are bounded on the upside by earnings and unbounded on the downside by imaginary threats such as these. As Gatewayy leaves AMD and all the other news (save the 820) is positive INTC still seems to tumble downward based on every negative "what -if" some psuedo technocrat can muster. I can't believe that the Taiwanese are going to effect the supply of chips too much longer as they have every incentive to get back on line. I am sure they will get all the help they need from those whom they supply in getting their fabs up and running. But it appears if you deal in real products the time horizon is a matter of days whereas in the case of the smoke and mirror boys they have an infinite horizon on which to build hope.

The psychology surrounding the market today is very strange and seems to be the kind of thinking that propels our current crop of politicians to their lofty positions of power. Smoke and mirrors beats hard reality. JFD
