pc,

Of course it was. Thats we we love Jim Bauer. "A" for effort <g>.

I don't know why some of the analysts are still in print at a $1.15 for calendar 2000. Lets see what happens when Jungjohann at CIBC officially takes his numbers up.

As far as valuation goes, whats the big deal? Its the era of the Red Hot.

ANTEC stock hasn't needed much jamming.

That press release was pretty much just an information update. DWDM is important to ANTEC's future growth and my personal opinion is that it was not so much to jam the price up a little more at the end of the quarter as it was to counter the Harmonic Inc. juggernaut. Everyone talks about Harmonics' DWDM as being the ultimate but ANTEC is quietly getting contracts and gaining market share.

So Jim Bauer is just trying to let everybody know that Harmonic is not the only cable DWDM system out there and that ANTEC has a real system that is in real deployment.

PC,

As far as very little news being announced last quarter, I think you might of overlooked T's announcement on how they will approach network powering and how much money they will be spending. Call ANTC IR to get a market share number for powering and then try to confirm what they told you.

this is an interesting read

If you need something to bitch about, I am sure the bears will soon complain about ATT being a 35% customer. However, I think a lot of people would like to have that business.

Last but not least, DT is of course right about the DWDM announcments. That stuff is music to my ears and could provide even a little more in the way of multiple expansion.

BTW, what price does this $tock have to put up before the chart is officially declared parabolic?
