Don't they have to go by the 3 day settlement rule as well? There was a good article in the National Post today as well. They re-printed the new release from yesterday, but also called the company. I have been watching this one for a long time, but especially closely since the first earnings warning at the end of July.
I am with you, the selling has gone way overboard. All you have to do is call up a 5 year chart to see it. My sister's boyfriend actually works at TUV as a mechanical engineer.

Re TUV Bay Street hates "accounting irregularities" it usually implies there is gross misrepresentation and dishonesty in the accounting department. The investment scene in Canada is littered with companies with above problem and they immediately fell out of favor with large institutional investors.Usually the retail investor comes in and props up the stock for a while and there is a dead cat bounce and then it hits bottom.

I hope 5.85 is the bottom I would not bet the farm on it. I have a feeling this will bleed more and volume will dry up. Look what happened to Beamscope (BSP.tse)
