Hello Joe & Richard,

Richard is right when he says no one knows... We are trying to tell the future and no one has figured out a foolproof way of doing that... What we can do is gather as much information as we can and test each situation as much as we can so we are prepared to act when something we like come along...

I do not pay much attention to volume or the play between bid and ask until I am ready to buy. That's when I look at the bid and ask to see what I should pay for the stock or option in question. Most times I try to get it at the lowest price possible BUT, if I'm looking to buy Options and the spread is small I just may buy it and be done with it...

To select the stock I rely on Indicators. MACD, Parabolic SAR, and Regression Channels are my primary tools.
