johnd, a great question, to which i would like an answer myself. i m sorry don't know the answers. Perhaps some of the more knowlegable perosn who follows the company well can anwer it??????????

I have not had the time to follow all news please let me know when u find out. thx.

i am trading these leaps over a period of 3-6 months. So if i dont want to deal w. this nightmare of w. 4 companies i will just dump it. What ever the out come, i am sure by earning time all our high tech companies will be doing well. Unless they start selling on good news.

"Let us MSFT split to 3 or 4 companies"

should be no problem for option holders.

Adjustments may be made to certain of the standardized terms of outstanding stock options when certain events occur, such as a stock dividend, stock distribution, stock split, reverse stock split, rights offering, distribution, reorganization, recapitalization, reclassification in respect of an underlying security, or a merger, consolidation, dissolution or liquidation of the issuer of the underlying security.

johnd: What are you talking about? The gov't must first win its case (which is a collection of intra-office memos)with Jackson and then the remedy has to be handed down to split the company up. Then the decision and the remedy have to be upheld in Appellate Court and perhaps even to the Supreme Court. All of these are legally unlikely. This kind of speculation is a waste of time. Just buy everytime MSFT is below 90. JFD
