A&W root beer is still as good as you remember it, in fact, it tastes just the same. Do you remember how the root beer made frozen root beer slush along the inside of the glass? It still does that. Well, I haven't had any in about a year, but your post makes me want to buy some again.

But my favorite was the root beer float. I can't imagine anything tasting better than a root beer float on a hot day.

Oh, well, time to go back to the old house for the last time, and clean it up. The kids have been bribed with a promise of a twenty dollar bill each, whatever they want from the Hunan Lion, ice cream, and a fruit shake.

We had a carhop who could go from car to car taking orders
without an order ticket book. Never wrote anything down
but somehow got all the orders back to the right cars.

I guess that would've been before the speaker phone things
that came along later or hadn't made it to South Texas
in the late '50s.
