Interesting post. I believe Reuters is planning to roll out their institutional platform to the individual :

Institutional platform
reutersplus.com

Individual platform:
internet-quotron.com

"A new service, Reuters Plus Internet, has replaced Reuters Internet Quotron.

Reuters Internet Quotron service is discontinued as of July 31, 1999.

Reuters Plus Internet is the same service that tens of thousands of U.S. financial markets professionals rely on for unparalleled access to real-time data and market intelligence. It is fed from Reuters' primary market data feed and backed by the full Reuters support infrastructure.

We will be accepting orders for Reuters Plus Internet later this year. "

Doing a little comparison shopping on Direct Entry Brokers. I will post results on the thread.

I know of TerraNova, MB Trading, CyberCorp, MyTrack, JPR Capital, Tradescape, and Executioner.

Am I missing any? And which is your favorite and why?

CyberCorp has way cool software and @ $14.95 for direct entry, it's reasonable even for non daytraders. Also their simulator is clever marketing. But my research isn't over.

Also can someone explain how Level II improves your trading or refer me to the right thread. All those streaming bids may well be as clueless as you or I.

Good luck to all!
