PVCS is standard configuration management software.

It's used by nearly every software house, not just Phoenix. The fact that they use it has no bearing (good or bad) on the prospects of Phoenix. More important is whether you think the company is worth owning for EBetween, Merced system software, and the connectivity semiconductor IP group.

Out of PTEC or in is good or bad, but the press release you cite is about as relevant as the price of blue cheese.

The release concerns an internal code management system which is important for internal development of PTEC software, but nowhere near anything like a reason to buy or sell the stock.
