NEW ALL TIME HIGH TOMORROW! Eric, don't you get it? The less they tell, the more the price rises.

After the market closed today, Bezos delivered the masterpiece of announcements:

<<"One of the metrics of our success will be our ability to continue to defy easy analogy. We're trying to invent
something completely new that really doesn't have an analogue in the physical world.">>

Tom,

This was great. The idead of profit entirely dissappeared and who cares<G>?

Tom - thanks for the Amazon article. After reading the article, I can only conclude that Amazon is in much worse shape than I had thought. Bezos's vague tone makes me feel that he is very disconnected from reality - as though he is using Amazon, the company, to conduct experiments in e-commerce - hoping that something will eventually work. It's unfortunate that such experimentation is being done with other peoples' money.

Thanks,
-Eric
