Doug - RE: i840.

Now that I've seen this in print, I'll comment. As far as I know, i840 is still on scheduled for release in October.

Gee, there's another place for Coppermines to populate boards.

Doug, <if you believe Carmel will follow Camino, then how do you explain this?>

I don't know. I have no idea what goes on in PCD Folsom where they do all the mainstream chipsets. My guess is that the problem plaguing Camino at the moment would also plague Carmel. Or if it isn't, I'll bet PCD is checking REAL hard just to make sure. (And then they'll recheck. And then they'll check again.)

Doug, re:<"'Carmel,' or Intel 840, uses only two Rambus modules">
I'm almost certain that techweb article you referenced is wrong. The i840 is supposed to have two RAMBUS 16-bit busses to double the throughput to memory.
