Dan - <Sorry if I misstated, but if it's released only with 100MHZ SDRAM, would it be reasonable to say that it's performance as designed has been delayed?

Yes and no.

1) Coppermine was always intended to ship with PC100 systems.

2) Although a blow to Intel's chipset business, there are PC-133 options. IBM and Micron are already shipping .25um "B" parts with PC-133. If those boards can ship with "B" parts, they can ship with "EB" (Coppermine).

3) WHat if the MHz is good enough that on the lower end, Intel can populate i810e's with certain Coppermines?

4) Intel announced that i802 build was going to be a low volume affair even before the 3rd RIMM slot problem popped up. They obviously had a plan to still ship Coppermine.

Reiterate: Coppermine is not on hold. i820 available would be better, and it remains to be seen if Intel pulls a rabbit out of a hat and gets it shipping in time for Coppermine.
