Ever notice how, when the price drops, we all find reason to post slightly off-topic?

I have the thinly-released Nikon Coolpix 900, not quite the 950, but one hell of a camera. In the past two weeks, I have had reason to take pictures for both personal and professional use.

My observation remains unchanged. Of the six settings available to me (VGA at low, normal and fine; hi-res at the same three) the picture on the screen from any setting is identical after being reduced (in PhotoShop) to a useable screen size. I guess the highest resolution only matters if one is aiming at prints.

And, after today, given the choice of spending $200 on a Sandisk card or $6,500 on 100 shares, I am inclined toward the latter.
