They keep the drama going for ratings If they talk about the Fed then they don't actually have to talk about the companies that are behind the stocks....which might actually require them to try to understand the business plan behind the companies and what makes them work or not work. Just always gotta remind yourself that there is a company behind the stock (with the exception of most OTC:BB stocks! LOL) and this is what succeeds or fails. Even in terrible economic situations there are companies that rise and grow above the rest.
