Joel--John or Rocky ( Are there more??? ) I have to say that your boss have you people pumped up in their effort to bring Iomega down so that they can profit on their short positions. I also have to say that Iomega will have a good reason to take you court as you have been spreading lies and half truths in your effort. You have caused certain OEM'S some concern in their development with Iomega's technology . This alone will be in megabucks. The loss to shareholders, caused by your lies and half truths, will be more than you shorts are worth. The following is just a start of what you guys have been posting in your effort at profiting on your short position. Keep it up and you will land in court. Herb ------------------------------------------------------------ BTW, as a sign of yet further resignation to the dominance of flashcards, expect Iomega to announce that they will market commodity CompactFlash cards soon- and bury the last remnants of cash-burning Bomb!. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bateh insisted that Bomb! was selling, but the TRUTH has been revealed to be otherwise. How many here have invested hard earned $$$ money based in part on Bateh's incessant LIES about Bomb! sales? I think the SEC should be called in to investigate the shinanigans committed by the likes of Bateh and other Iomaniacs who constantly LIE and try to conceal the TRUTH about Iomega in order to manipulate the stock price upwards... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are in for yet another year of "Why Does Iomega Go Down?" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Expect the PC Card Bomb! drive to be cancelled within the first 6 months of 2000, and with it the entire Bomb! line. Iomaniacs simply refuse to accept the facts and fail to do proper research regarding the markets Iomega tries to penetrate. How much did this dismal failure cost Iomega in R&D? Over $100, Million, correct? Revenues? A grand total of $6 million fpor the first 6 months, and likely less than $10 Million total to date.- a LOSSES of over $20 MILLION. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- the Agfa CL30 Bomb is a very LOW-level camera selling at a Mid-level price tag. It only has a 1.0 megapixel CCD chip for Pete's sake!* This is totally old outdated technology. There are cameras selling for $379 MSRP and less right now that offer a 50% better resolution 1.5 Megapixel CCD. The CL30 Bomb is totally outclassed by other cameras with the features most desired by digital camera buyers. Those here that think otherwise have not done their research (as usual) into the digicam market; ie- have not closely monitored the rec.photo.digital newsgroup, nor steves-digicams.com, dpreview.com and their message boards, etc. This same lack of research is exactly the type of fallacy that led a lot here to dump more money in IOM based on the Bomb! for digital cameras (now reportedly collecting dust in a warehouse and soon to be cancelled). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I really get the shutterbug in me, I might pick up the 340MB IBM Microdrive. But never Iomega Bomb!- besides, Bomb! for digital cameras isn't even compatible with Macs! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- IOM is overvalued right now. Time will prove my point as it has all year long now. However, Speculation will drive IOM's price up for the Short Term, much in the same way Bre-X stock was driven up. Even Garbage Stocks like IOM, SYQT, and Bre-X get their day in the Sun. IOM's price rises are very cyclical. And the smart ones can take advantage of this. Just don't hold on too long and get greedy for one more 1/4 point. You can find yourself in the hole real quick. One must never confuse Speculation with Real Value. And IOM's Real Value is shrinking monthly. As of right now, I would value IOM in its entirety as fairly valued at about $1.85 per share, or a $500 Million Market Cap. However, this valuation will shrink as Zip continues to lose Revenues and the war against CD-RW, as 40MB Bomb! continues to drain $$$ resources, and as Jaz disappears off the face of the Earth.
