Regardless, Intel must believe there is a market for it. That's the whole point of the "e".

To establish Coppermine as quickly as possible! These things are incredibly inexpensive to manufacture, and four fabs are pumping them out. The four fabs item was indicated by INTC mgmt at IDF.
